Negotiation Team Composition
Mark McEvoy Asks:
What is better in a team based negotiation – a small team or a large team?
Answer:
A small team is easier to co-ordinate & manage. We know that the larger the team, the more preparation, management & structure required to ensure the achievement of our objectives. Try to keep your team as small as possible if you would like to reach agreement quickly – conversely, if you would like more time to negotiate then it may be a good idea to add some members to your team which will have the effect of lengthening the negotiation cycle.
